Overview
The principal objectives of the Society are an enjoyment of the jazz genre and a search for, and sharing of, new jazz knowledge and experiences.A complementary activity is a shared appreciation of fine ales, beers, wines, malt whiskies and other intriguing alcoholic beverages.
Details
We hold regular events to enable us to significantly expand our knowledge of the history and scope of jazz styles, bands and performers.
Our main interests embrace early blues, rhythm & blues, traditional, mainstream and modern but, as yet, not ultra-modern jazz. Big bands and female vocalists are the favourites of some members and a smidgin of rock-and-roll and country music has crept in.
