Overview

Many villagers are avid 'Bridge' players although there is no Club within the village.

Details

Whilst many social games of 'Rubber Bridge' occur in peoples homes, the more serious players are members of Clubs affiliated to the English Bridge Union within the area. The majority play at the Towcester Bridge Club on a Tuesday night, whilst some of them also belong to Northampton and Kingsley Bridge Clubs, all of which provide competitive games of Duplicate Bridge.

Towcester prides itself as being a sociable Club as well as fielding two league teams. The Club can also boast having some County players as members. Qualifying evenings are held regularly for those wishing to try their luck in National competitions. Have a look at the web site shown on 'Contact Web' above, for more details.

At least once a year Charity fund raising Rubber Bridge events are held in the Village Hall, and these always prove popular with villagers and other players from the surrounding area.
