Starting from Fiveways, take Baker Street down to Milton Road and turn right, walking towards Gayton church.

Just after the church, take a left which is Wrights Lane and continue down Wrights Lane until you reach the canal bridge.

At the canal take a left turn to join the canal towpath and walk along this towards Bugbrooke until you reach the next road bridge which is Banbury Lane.

At Banbury Lane leave the towpath and taking a right turn, walk a short way along the road towards Rothersthorpe. A signposted footpath on the left leads you north and then west back to rejoin the canal just south of Bugbrooke.

Turning left along the towpath, walk towards Gayton past Wright’s Lane to the next bridge where you should leave the canal to walk up the hill, taking the footpath across the fields to the top of Wright’s Lane.

Turn right onto Milton Road, then left at the church to proceed up Blisworth Road. Take the second right at Back Lane to return to Fiveways.
