This is a pleasant walk which can be done when conditions are wet.

Starting from Five Ways, walk down Baker Street then turn right onto Milton Road and then left onto Wright’s Lane. Walking down the hill, join the canal at the humped back bridge.

Take a right turn down the canal towpath to the Milton Road Bridge, crossing to the other side of the canal and continuing down to Gayton Juction.

Leave the canal at Gayton Junction, turning right on to the road and walking over the railway bridge and up the hill to join Blisworth Road by taking a right at the crossroads. Follow Blisworth Road back into Gayton and then take a left turn down Back Lane to arrive back at Fiveways.
